Sunday is dismantle part of SwiftMom's basement so the old oil tank can be removed. Tank is leaking and needs to be replaced :(

Great day to stay in bed with a book! I'm envious.

I had a hard conversation with my boss today. About boundaries. About exhaustion. About not letting myself get so far gone again. I'm still feeling a little outside myself because of it. It had to be done. We'll see how it all shakes out, huh?
Peace be with me!

Have to evict tenants. They haven't paid any rent at all -- we had an arrangement for them to help us clean/fix up the house in exchange for 1st month's rent. They've been stringing us along ever since. They never paid a security deposit either. This is really stressing B out and I'm so worried that he might get sick because of it and I'd be screwed in that case. I lost my job on Nov. 1st and, even if it was only a few hundred a month, it helped. Now we have two rental homes, only one of which is paying rent. :blue:

B is the nice guy, always giving people the benefit of the doubt. I'm that way, too. Up to a point. That point has been reached. They're still trying to appeal to our good graces even after lying for the past 2 1/2 months. B printed out an eviction notice today. We like them, it's not personal. But we can't run a charity. :crushed:

Bummer :(

Not sure how the tenant's rights laws are in your state but in MA it is extremely difficult to evict someone once a lease has been signed. It took my cousin almost 3 years to get rid of his deadbeat tenant. Hope the process is smoother and more efficient for you.

Snow fell overnight so you could scarcely tell I swept the steps and car yesterday. Had to do them all again. All appointments were canceled due to weather but had to go out anyway for shopping. It was about 30º warmer than on Thursday when I was unable to start the car and today the car started right up with only a slight hesitation. The snow stopped and melted for awhile, but along about 3:00 in the afternoon it came down heavily and steadily. I had to use the water cannon on the satellite dish before taking the car out, and again as darkness fell--twice today SO FAR to keep reception going!
I have already picked out your birthday cake!

Like a lot if parents today, I am listening to my son go on and on and on about Nintendo.

Got on the website to order the new system before it even went live....and it was sold out before he could get it into the shopping cart.

He found it on another site....$500 more. Then that site went "under maintenance" while ds was looking for games for the system. I went back to that site and the price was down to the same as the other (sold out) site. I clicked add to cart. Went to the cart...system froze up. By the time I got through....sold out.

Those who actually got the system are probably not a lot happier though. It's $50 US more than expected, comes with no games (people expected to get one) and you have to pay extra for on-line.

He says he looked, and Nintendo stock went down last night....still going down today. Not a good sign when a brand new system comes out.

My son set his PS4 up in German at Christmas - I tried to return it to Shoppers Drug Mart but they said their policy is to not refund on video/electronics (it says nothing like that on my receipt and it is not stamped "final sale".

This was a new system that cost 299.99

I am a bit miffed - thinking of contacting shoppersdrugmart.ca

I have no idea how to fix the problem and he was pretty upset.

p.s. Son is cognitively challenged and me [- I am just clueless! lol]
:tongue-new:

Edit: oh duh - I just went to their web site and it turns out that if the box has been opened then we cannot return it - I wish I knew how to change the language from German to English on a brand new game :confusion::facepalm:
