My son set his PS4 up in German at Christmas - I tried to return it to Shoppers Drug Mart but they said their policy is to not refund on video/electronics (it says nothing like that on my receipt and it is not stamped "final sale".

This was a new system that cost 299.99

I am a bit miffed - thinking of contacting shoppersdrugmart.ca

I have no idea how to fix the problem and he was pretty upset.

p.s. Son is cognitively challenged and me [- I am just clueless! lol]

Edit: oh duh - I just went to their web site and it turns out that if the box has been opened then we cannot return it - I wish I knew how to change the language from German to English on a brand new game

Hi Neesy. Not sure if it will help ma'am, but this step by step is supposed to reset the PS4 to out of the box factory status where you can choose language, settings, and etc.

I read your post, then went up to ask my son how you could fix this. He was giving me some instructions of how to find instructions on-line, and he stopped what he was doing and was googling around to find it.

Then I noticed there were responses to your problem, so I told him thanks, but it's OK.

And I came downstairs. Sat down. And he hollers "it's live again".

I run upstairs, and this time....his order went through.

He hasn't received the confirmation e-mail yet, but he did get the order #. And when we ordered from the same store in Boxing Day it took a long time to get the e-mail.

I had a hard conversation with my boss today. About boundaries. About exhaustion. About not letting myself get so far gone again. I'm still feeling a little outside myself because of it. It had to be done. We'll see how it all shakes out, huh?

Went to SwiftSis's surprise party on Friday. Was late getting there. Took 2.5 hours to go 40 miles Was good other than that. She was really surprised! Can't believe my big sister is 50! Seems like yesterday that we were involved in some serious sibling rumbling!

Yesterday was errand running day. Took Brodster for a long walk. It was the first since he had his post-surgery restrictions lifted. Also watched the Patriots game. Ugly win.
Awaiting the winner of the Chiefs / Steelers game.

So far today I, with the help of one of my SwiftCousins, dismantled the wall surrounding the oil tank in SwiftMom's basement. They are replacing the tank on the 20th. Now I just need to clean up the mess. Forgot to get the contractor bags so it's off Home Depot in a few. Will take Chief Brody Dog for a walk after that. Then it's chill time for SwiftDog!

Collected the trash and debated whether it was too cold to take it out. When the water pipe connecting to the washer froze halfway through a laundry and had to be thawed with a hair dryer, I decided it was in fact too cold to take out the trash.
