Yes (in my opinion) - they run all over the back lane and go into people's property. I came home back in May and the vent had been pried open and was stuck in an upright position in one corner. I did force it down and then wrapped a lot of duct tape around it, but I am sure with the heavy rains that some water got in.

Anyway I don't have a video tape or anything like a witness to prove it, unfortunately.

But honestly, who does that? It had to be a kid trying to look inside - I cannot see an adult doing something so silly.

Plus when we moved the tent trailer there was a rubber ball underneath, so they were probably looking for their ball.

We have this sort of socialist or communist (or whatever) kind of auto insurance out here and it is like pulling teeth to get a claim put through.

It's called Autopac. Oh well, at least I got to move the trailer, have a friend help me hook it up to Andy's Durango etc. and took it for a little ride down Main Street.

The tires need to be pumped up a bit, but overall, even with the bit of water damage on the ceiling, it's still a darn nice looking little RV (well, not all that little - actually 23 feet when it's opened up)

Cool! I found a video of the exact model and year I have - it's a 1999 and I bought it for $10000 in 2000.

Andy is in poor health and lost a lot of weight after cancer and surgery - I think that is why he wants to upgrade to the kind that is all ready to go, as there is a bit of work involved in putting up the tent trailer and then taking it down again.

p.s. When Andy got back home from up North in early June and opened up the trailer, he turned the handle on the vent cover inside and it just popped back down into position! (I wish I had known - I could have done the same thing myself) :facepalm_smiley:

How awful. Sounds like those kids have very little adult supervision. Perhaps set up like a nanny cam outside.

Farmer's Market, then getting the old stove moved out and the new stove moved in. I had to take advantage of the old one being moved out to scrub down the wall and floor where the new one will sit. The Man decided to run electricity to a new plug behind the stove (gas stove, but you need a little electricity for the clock and ignitors), so I then had to clear out the storage space in my bathroom so he could go through the wall there. That was a pill! I threw out two huge bags of garbage (stuff too worn/nasty to be donated), and two bags of donation stuff. Bonus: now that it's cleaned out, I think I'm finally going to get my bathroom redone! Mark has already started sketching which bit will remain a linen closet and checking out the plumbing for the larger vanity that's been stored in the space for a few years. :)

Then the fun part: we went to snuggle puppies! A friend has 8 4-week-old puppies, and we're buying one for Nick. They're not ready to leave their mama yet, but he got first pick. Losing my babydog, Lulu, right before the 4th was horrible, and I wasn't sure I was ready for another dog, but the look on Nick's face when a puppy chose HIM (sidled up, licked his toes, laid her head on his foot, then snuggled in his arms) was worth every heartpang. :)

It's unbelievable how much we sometimes mirror each other... we also have a new bathroom vanity stored in the garage (has been for years) and need to re-plumb to fit it in the bathroom. I also had to do the big cleanup today when we brought home the new (2nd hand, excellent cond') couch that was my birthday present. The old couch was really heavy and low to the ground, so the vacuuming never reached all the way under.

I'm really happy that you're going to have a new puppy-baby in your life, I've been thinking of you since you had to say goodbye to your lovely babydog. (((A)))

I'm sorry for your loss of Lulu.

We lost our Quin in December, and it was such a tug - no, a rip, a tear at the heart. I've been wanting us to have another furkid for Grandma while I'm gone, but now after seven months she's just starting to consider it.

Best to you and your house with the new little one(s).

Well, got to spend the day and evening at two different ERs yesterday.

SwiftMom had a fall in her driveway and ended up fracturing a vertebrae (they think, who knows?).

I had to call 911 for an ambulance as she couldn't sit in my car when I got there and needed to lay flat. So they took her to the Hospital where her doctors are. They did some tests and sent her to their affiliated Hospital in Boston as they didn't have a spine specialist at the local one. Now I'm waiting to see what the next steps are. She said something about coming home today with a brace but who knows? Will be heading in to see her shortly.

Had to take poor Brody Dog to the kennel. He'll have to stay there this week until Thursday. I didn't want to leave him in his crate all day, every day this week while I'm at work. I work from home on Fridays so I will work from SwiftMom's that day.

This whole aging parent thing is a drag...........

I thought I'd surprise my girlfriend this morning and make blueberry muffins for breakfast. 1 hour later I saved one for her after just about choking on the one I tried. As I was dumping the rest out by the shed I asked myself if I thought raccoons would eat what I had created. After she woke up, she came into the kitchen and said "What smells funny? Kind of smells like cornbread and blueberry maybe?" I proudly handed her the muffin which, to her credit, she smiled, warily, and said "Did you make these?" I said "Just try one bite." She did, then laughed and said "E for effort babe, but ummmmm, no." She said why don't you have a seat and I'll see if I can make round 2. If any zombies attack while I'm making them, I know you'll take good care of us." So I decided to go outside and check on the muffins I'd thrown out. No raccoons, no ants, no anything. I may have created something so foul that scavengers and insects are avoiding them. Her muffins were much, much better...lol

Taking care of aging parents, injured, unwell parents is exhausting and draining. Scary. Do your very best and know that you have and all will be well. This is a tough journey and tests your very character. Good luck and hope it is something that will heal quickly.

Healing vibes to your mom, swiftdog.

Dj said, "Taking care of aging parents, injured, unwell parents is exhausting and draining." Just remember though, they did all that when you were little.
Absolutely, not saying he shouldn't do it. Just saying it is a test of who you are.

And, taking care of little humans is a lot easier than taking care of big humans.

You're my other-side-of-the-earth twin :) I have nothing against second hand--much of my house is furnished with excellent secondhand buys. :) My best deal: the leather and oak Morris chair we found second hand for $40. Got home and did some research, and the same thing was going for $780 at a regular store!

We still have a couple of weeks to get used to the idea of a new puppy. I haven't had one of those for YEARS--hope I remember how to train one!
