Behavioral-- you being away often, Brody not being around-- changes due to Holidays?? Change in diet/litter brand? Glad you are ck that it is not medical issue, but sounds like Shadow Punk just misses you.

Tests so far were negative.

Shadow Punk lives with SwiftMom and Brody Dog, not me. He hasn’t had any changes in anything. He’s had anxiety since we gave Brody to SwiftMom. He’s been extra jumpy lately :(

Got up at 5am to go into work. Arrived at 6 to find there was maintenance being done so had to come back home! D'oh!

Had a few beers this evening but have to get up at 5 again in the morning as we're 'good to go' now.

Read some more of the quite excellent Lisey's Story and now down to the last thirty pages or so...

Binging Game of Thrones. Closing in on the end of season 2.

I LOVE Tyrion. :)

I watched about half of the first episode when it first aired but then turned it off. Decided to try it again a while later coz lots of people at work and on social media were raving about it and I said I'd try it again.
On watching the first episode for the second time I ended up turning it off again.
Obviously, GoT is not my cup of tea.

Worked from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Came home and did some bits n pieces and then travelled down to Dublin with my brother to see Dad's last band, The Dublin Legends, in concert. That was emotional tbh
Came home again (for the second time today) and finished reading Lisey's Story. All I can say is Wow! What an excellent tale...

Worked. It was the last day of having to go into the Boston office. I will now be working from home 100% of the time I’m not traveling.

Took the old futon out of the back room at SwiftMom’s. New one is scheduled to be delivered between 7am -11am tomorrow.

Gotta go up to NH on Saturday to deliver some late Christmas gifts to one of my cousin’s kids.

Will be chillaxin’ the rest of the weekend. Literally and figuratively :)

I went to Q's bookstore in Beaumont street in Hamilton and scored 2nd hand copy of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, April 1980, and it has a story of this guy called Stephen King. The Way Station, so I'm going to start reading that tonight. I'm also reading some stuff from the Bachman Omnibus book. I won't be back on here till February, so I haven't died, yet. I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and has a nice New Year's celebration and don't talk so much politics because you end up in trouble.

Politics and Religion can be far too divisive so I try not to get caught up in all that stuff if I can help it.

Happy New Year to you, Mr. Cranky. Hope it's a great one for you.

Warning - a few of the animals get quite frisky near the end, so perhaps don't watch the whole thing! :my_bad:

Hope you enjoy The Thing - if it's the John Carpenter one then it should be great!

This happened while the board was down. We had extremely cold weather last week with most days waking up to single digit temps. At my part-time job at a DIY place we completely sold out of heaters by Thursday... Electric, kerosene, and propane... everything. Probably sold over 500 heaters in three days. But loads of people kept coming in and calling looking for heaters. You couldn’t find heaters anywhere. And a lot of hard luck stories that everyone shared with me. When I went in on Saturday I took an extra heater I had, that heated up to 1,000 sq/ft, with plans to give it away to the person with the most need that day. I wasn’t there 10 minutes when two attractive young women in their mid 20’s came in desperate for a heater because the heat in their apartment wasn’t working correctly and it had been around 50 degrees in there for a couple of days. They had been everywhere on Friday trying to find one and had traveled 20 miles to our location in hopes of finding one on Saturday. We were out, just like everyone else. I said I had one in the car and was going to give it to the hardest luck story I heard today, but I had just gotten in. One of the girls said ‘Are you giving it to the highest bidder?’ I replied ‘No, I’m giving it away for free to the person I find today with the greatest need.’ She came back with ‘How about I flash you so you can see how cold I am?’ and started to unzip here coat. I said ‘OMG... Stop... don’t do that... you win... you can have the heater.’ Her friend commented she couldn’t believe the other girl was willing to do that. Her reply was ‘I’m so cold I’ll do just about anything for a heater.’ I walked out to the car and gave them the heater and said ‘Here you go... crazy wins... stay warm.’ They thanked me profusely and the would-be flasher said ‘there’s a difference between crazy and desperate... and I’m desperate to stay warm!’ :)

If she'd do that, what WOULD she do for a Klondike Bar?
