Somebody else is going to have to bop me. I can't be trusted to get the job done myself.
:hammer:

So did you get everything done you had mentioned earlier?

I baked a bunch of chicken wings in the oven after coating them with Southern style crunchy breading, then went ahead and made the good old liver 'n onions. Now I'm thinking that tomorrow I should go donate blood - all that iron must be making my O positive blood positively appealing! [I hope]

Well, I went to the client meeting....then I came home and am currently in the process of procrastinating everything else. That's why I'm here. ;) It's honestly hard to do anything with these damn migraine symptoms. The headache is manageable right now but the phantom smells and nausea are just too much.

I'm glad to hear you're being productive enough for the both of us. I'll send my friends to your house instead. ;)

Besides - the whole place does smell like fried onions now that I've made that liver :dnce_pig:

Maybe go lie down in a dark room? Does that help?

Really? I didn't realize that was a regional thing!

Unrelated, here's a fun (read: not at all fun) new migraine symptom I'm having: olfactory hallucinations (otherwise known as phantom smells). I now get to smell smoke and burning plastic for days at a time. Somebody, please kill me. Getting older is THE WORST!
Hope the migraines go away soon. Peppermint will help with the nausea, but I have no clue about the phantom smells.

....as far as I know, there IS nothing that can be done about the phantom smells....it's neurons gone nuts, just sorry she got the nasty smells....some folks get lemon or orange, a little more pleasant at least.....

The dark room helps for the headache and light sensitivity but sadly does nothing for the phantom smells and nausea. :(
My youngest suffers from migraines. She has spent many the time in a dark room with a warm compress on her head. Still haven’t found what triggers them although milk seems to play a part, and she has TMG which might also have something to do with it. She has switched to Lacatid, and we’ve seen a specialist regarding the TMG. They are making her a special $300 retainer which should help with the TMG. She was told by doctors a cocktail of 3 Advil (or Exedrin Migraine) and 1 Benadryl taken on the onset of a migraine would help... and it seems to work some of the time.

Have you tried Botox or Dysport?

There’s new evidence that the use of lavender oil can treat migraines. A study in European Neurology looked at the inhalation of lavender essential oils to treat migraines. The study concluded that inhaling lavender essential oil may be an effective and safe way to relieve migraine pain.

The use of lavender therapy on migraines was also reported in a study published in the Journal of Herbal Medicine. After a three-month period, participants in the group using lavender reported a reduction in the frequency and severity of their migraines.

How to Use Lavender for Migraine Relief
Before giving lavender to an infant or young child, you should speak with your doctor. They can provide further guidance on whether this is the best treatment.

Adults can inhale lavender essential oil for quick relief. To do this, add 2 to 4 drops of oil to 2 to 3 cups of boiling water. Then, inhale the vapors. You can also massage a few drops into the skin.

Make sure you consult with your doctor before trying any alternative remedies to relieve your migraines.
As a migraine suffer I use the above massaged into the temples at first onset.

Yes, they are for wrinkle treatment, but a wonderful little plus is they are very successful for a lot of people in treating migraines.

Seriously, look into it.

Thanks. I'll do some research on them.
