Saturday, we picked my youngest up from the university where she was attending a workshop for high school students interested in pursuing legal careers. They had an intensive week-long program going from 7:30 am to 11:00 pm every day. “Free time” was utilized for prep work for the mock trial they put on Saturday that the parents sat in on. Only 10 students were allowed into the program, with the farthest coming from Alaska. My daughter was picked to be the lead prosecutor and her roommate from Long Island was picked to be the lead defense attorney. The judge who heard the trial and the law student who was critiquing the kids both commented on how amazing they were with only one week to prepare, and so little time from that one week to devote to the mock trial with everything else going on during the workshop. The mock trial was quite interesting, but painful. An old high school friend of the wife decided to come for a visit the night before. Too much drinking, snacking and jibber jabbering. She didn't leave until 1 am, and we needed to be on the road by 5:30 am the next morning..

We used to call that "self-inflicted wounds" :upside:;)

Hope you got some rest - funny how sometimes going back to work and a regular routine is more restful!

Congrats to your daughter--that sounded like extensive work. Be a proud dad. How is the sciatic nerve?
