All the rain has caused havoc here. River rescue from two counties search last evening for 145 whitewater rafters from NY reported missing on a section of river that normally is gentle, but nasty right now. Luckily all are supposedly accounted for now and safe. I had a heck of a time getting home last night at 11pm. They had the main road blocked off and I had to go all over the place to find my way home. I saw a picture this morning of why the road was closed. I dunno, I think I could have made it with the big ole Jeep... It sure would have been fun trying. :)

....oh hell yeah!....would've made it without breaking a sweat....power to the Jeeple!!!!......

Something very thoughtful just happened. One of my friends just called and offered to take me grocery shopping tomorrow when she is done work at 4:00
She knows my daughter is coming to visit and said carrying groceries home and taking different connecting buses is too much. Very nice of her and I certainly appreciate it.

If you are a jeep person, as I was. And miss it bad. Fun in summer, great in winter. Get caught in rain with soft top down. You just have to grin and do it. Hello! I'm fine, yeah that's my pup, we are both wet by accident. I have towels when we get home.
I find myself lifting a hand in a wave when one is coming the opposite way. Now waving from a neep neep Honda. Forget I am not in the jeep sometimes. :dispirited:

NN not sure if I ever told you this but I had a Jeep for nearly 4 years. Had a soft top and a hard top for it. I loved that thing!!! My husband tried to sell it out from under me (had it registered in my name, so that didn't work). He saw me climbing snowbanks with it, very BIG snowbanks on his way home from work. I was 6 months pregnant with Anne at the time. We were fine by the way, I knew what I was doing. Damn that Jeep was fun.

Yay! I know right? Mine was red. How bold of me. Wrangler. My goodness, you were carrying a baby,
I was carrying a grocery item. One time, took it all off. Doors. It was weird an free. No at thing had me from laughing and crying. No no. I can't clutch anymore. I know you made me ride you to Boston.
cry. I know you took me to the shore.
Now I'm not making this up. True. I came around the corner of BuckToe road. I lived on at the time

A pack of dogs came out of nowhere.. Big ones, little ones... They were chasing and nipping at my legs. Oh I gunned it, knees up. one knee up. Kept the doors on after that. You should have seen them.

I didn't have any time to make nice. I was outta there. Now still wondering about a surprise pack of dogs.
Where did they come from?

Rabie dogs, If I had the time, I would have given them a good talking to about chasing cars.

you should have seen em. Burst out of a corner turn. Big one's little ones. Speckled and spotted. Little paws and big ones. Tappy yappers. Saw noses. Big one's little tiny noses, Honking big noses. They were having fun. Now I am reliving it.

Pretty sure that I lost my groceries. I was not carrying cat nip or anything.

Just noticed on your reply that suddenly I have a last name -- Mirwrma. Who the heck is that. Not even close to my last name.

Isn't that the truth. This one kept popping rods. Put in 3 different sets and the 4th was going so I sold it as is. Wasn't big enough anyways with 4 of us and highway driving was noisey. Could have lived with the fuel prices, not the repair prices.

Well, it's your name now. I'm going to call you Alexandra Mirwrma from now on. Sounds very exotic. ;)
It sounds like you're one of Ariel's sisters from The Little Mermaid. You are now a Disney Princess!! :love_heart:
