Sunday is my first real rehearsal with a local cover band as the lead guitarist. I have a list of 40+ classic rock tunes to learn (Born on a Bayou, Born to Be Wild, Purple Haze, White Room, etc.) and my brain is already starting to hurt with information overload.

I'm using the OneNote app so I can sit down with my laptop, make a note with chord changes for each song. Then at practice, I can load OneNote on my phone and use that as a little cheat sheet. I should probably get a tablet and mic stand mount at some point.

Hardest part is learning all of the solos! Too many notes bouncing around in my head.
The wah-wah solo for White Room is really fun, though.

You should compare notes with swiftdog2.0 -- he's a musician in a band, too.

That’s a lot of stuff to remember!

Good Luck!

Making two loaves of oatmeal bread and also getting quite frustrated because of a significant typing lag which is driving me insane

Has anyone ever had this problem - you try to type but the letters do not show up on the screen. Dana Jean - you used to be a transcriptionist so I am pretty sure you are a fast typist. It is SO frustrating for me. Plus I never know when it will work or when I will have to resort to the on-screen keyboard.

There - finished venting! I feel better :a24:
