....I wore an extra long shirt......anyway, I called my Dad and wished him a Happy 90th birthday....we took him to dinner this past Sunday which was one I immersed myself in, never knowing if there'll be another.....just the simple pleasure of watching him enjoy his meal...as we chatted today, he told me it had just hit him that he was 90, "that's just amazing, never thought it was possible and I know if your Mom was here-she'd have something to say"....she sure would have Pop, a simple happy birthday....which after 60 plus years is all that's needed......
Happy birthday to your father sir and all goodness to go along with it. Clan Roller's past, present, and future generations are good people and are well met along the path of the beam.

Ah - I see - had to look that one up - I think they're called corn dogs in the USA
I wouldn't have thought they'd have that in Canada, I thought it was only here. What looks nice to eat in Canada is Poutine. Have you ever tried this Neesy? It sounds French. Also, Nanaimo Bars. I would like to go and see Nova Scotia.

My blood pressure increased recently when somebody changed what I wrote. I think people can't handle the truth.

Waiting for a kidney stone to pass. You know how you nervously anticipate a visit to the dentist for a root canal and you're dreading the pain? Yeah. Like that. I had a taste of coming attractions Monday. Can't wait. GNTLGNT I hear you've had the dubious pleasure of this particular event. How long did it take for you?

...other than being tired and a bit wobbly, he is in remarkably good health....he loved spending his off time outside taking care of his trees, lawn, garden and dozens of other projects....it has held him in good stead.....
90 years old! Wow - Happy Birthday to Scott's Dad :butterfly:

I make home made Nanaimo bars - I'd send you some but don't know if they would make the long trip through the mail in one piece!

(I am not a fan of poutine - I tried a wee bite of it in Quebec back in the early 80s, before it became popular all over the place). It just seemed like too much of a good thing - french fries, gravy AND cheese curds? :confusion::icon_eek::barf:

I get acid indigestion just from thinking about it!
