...JoJo I hope the back improves...40 years with a bad one qualifies me to know how you feel...again, all my love to my extended family here....we had dad to the hospital Saturday because of weakness, falls and his afib...was admitted and I’ve been here everyday since...labs and diagnostic imaging were all good except for one little detail....he broke his damn back in a recent fall at the house!!! No wonder he hurt. Compression fracture at L1 which was cemented today and he is now pain free and going home later this evening. I’m here waiting to meet with a candidate to watch over him, so my time on the Board will be limited....I’m still hurting emotionally, but your kindness has helped....I’m off to do the geriatric boogaloo....
Prayers and good vibes continue for all of you!

Very interesting! That looks like a fun tour!! And hey - there's me!! That would be a very cool visit for almost anyone, but for us Constant Readers the connection to 11/22/63 is intense!

Today I have to go to the dentist for a few small fillings. It's way over on the other side of town. I've cancelled my appointments twice now (you have to pay in advance and then get reimbursed by your insurance) but today is the day to face the music.

So - hoping it won't be too expensive and that they give me lots of pain numbing injections. :icon_eek:

I'm off to the dentist this afternoon, too! I have to get a deep scaling on the left side of my mouth. They did the right side last Tuesday. Fun stuff!!:(

Do they inject anesthetic first? My dental hygienist is pretty good about doing that first, as I have some gum recession and it can be quite painful.

Good luck!

(I might ask Andy to drive me there so I can take a Tylenol 3 and perhaps half an Ativan to relax me first) - of course I would not want to drive after taking those meds.

Oh, yes! They put a gel numbing agent on a qtip and smear it around for a bit before using the needle. One type of meds for the bottom and another for the top. Then you are numb for about 2.5-3 hours. Good luck with your procedure, too!

Finished my International Business course last night. Now it's on to Marketing. 9 more months to go.

Today I'm working and waiting for my new media cabinets to be delivered.

Back to St. Louis next week.
Much success in your next course. The light at the end of the educational tunnel is in full sight! Safe travels.

It's hard enough just doing that class work but you've also got a full-time job and personal and family commitments you're juggling on top of it. That's quite an accomplishment--you deserve a big pat on the back. Well done!

I am doing some more cleaning in my yard.

I had most of my yard work done in the summer and fall. I have a big yard and lots of trees, plants, garden, bushes, so a lot of maintenance. So I hit it hard last autumn so I wouldn't have so much to clean up this spring. And, we had such a mild winter, there were days smack dab in the middle of winter where I was out cleaning out areas. It has paid in spades! Just some very basic cleaning still to do, but I won't be spending all spring and no summer doing much of any yard work. Just some freshening up if I choose to. Or not.

I think my yard is still under there somewhere (it's covered with about three feet of snow right now)

Glad to hear you're doing well - all your hard work has paid off! Good for you :snowman:
