No car during high school. Use of grandfather's car a 1962 Ford Galaxy 500. Put the miles on it via the Garden State Parkway to and from work.

My first car. 1982 Honda Civic 4 door. Looked exactly like this. The oil pump went out at 280K miles and I couldn't afford the $1000 it cost to fix it then. Which was a lot in the 80's. This car started my love affair with Hondas that is still going strong. In fact, our house looks like a used Honda lot when all the kids come home. Only one of them doesn't drive a Honda.

I currently have a 2006 Odyssey with 75K miles that drives like new. I still have the 2007 Accord I drove to Maine a few years ago. That was very first brand new car purchase. We've put every one of the 180K miles it has on it. Still runs like new. One daughter drives a 2008 Civic, another a 2010 CR-V and my son is about to buy a 2003 Accord for his first car. The daughter who doesn't have a Honda drive a Toyota Corolla. She did have a 2001 Accord but it finally gave up the ghost.

Anyway we like Hondas. LOL Great cars.

HollyGolightly - my mom had a Pinto for a while. Do y'all remember the movie Top Secret! It was a very bad Val Kilmer movie. In one scene, there is a Pinto and a bunch of baddies are heading right for it. They slam on the brakes, and stop and all breath a sigh of relief. Then they ease forward and lightly touch the bumper. BOOM!

Drove my parents' car, a 1967 Barracuda (web picture, not one of their car), small V-8. The back seat folded down forward, and the trunk partition folded down backward, for about 7 feet of... ummm.... storage room for camping equipment, yeah, that's it, with a big ol' picture window just up above for the ... ummm... camping equipment to look through.

For my chariot, I had a ... forget the year ... Honda CB100, again, a photo off the web. Grandma and I went on our very first date on this little thing.

Both vehicles were centerpieces of many storied adventures in my high school and college years.

I drove one of these. Except it was the three door model, being a hatchback.

I just recently bought a "new" (used) car. I was very close to buying a Honda, but I found Civic to be a bit too compact to my taste, although quite good to drive. My first choice would've been an Accord, but I couldn't find any newer models in my area.
So I went and bought my very first Toyota. So far so good.

Very nice. Mad Max meets Steve McQueen.
