I heard this from Peter Straub's gardeners' second cousins ornithologist. During one of Jack Sawyers travels from world to world he will pick up a certain horn and leave it in a certain place. Roland will come across it and then it'll be Roland's last trip up the Tower. Balance will ensue, and this will usher in 2,000 years of peace and prosperity on all levels of the Tower. Boom! ;;D
...only, then Travellin' Jack will become possessed of a mysterious urge to find something called the Pastel Wormhole.

Wow! I had no idea that there might be a third book in the Jack Sawyer series. Get on it, Stephen and Peter!

My favorite line from Black House is about "Burnsy's" creepy phone calls and a comment about his weird accent. I don't remember the exact wording, but one guy said something along the lines of "He sounds like a Frenchman trying to speak English with a German accent."

"Burnsey" sounds like he could have come from Saskatchewan. We do have quite the ethnic mix here. For example, back in the 1980s, I went to a wedding with a German bride, Chinese groom and Ukrainian food. In Regina, we have an Irish-style pub co-owned by a Greek guy.

During the recent National Book Festival address, Mr King was asked about the third book in the series. He said that Mr Straub and he begin working on it in Feb 2017. The entire video is on his FB page (and should be on YouTube by now, I suppose) if anyone cares to watch it.

He recently said they plan to start writing it in February. We'll see if that happens this time.
Here... let me help him out. :)

I love The Talisman so much. I've read it at least five times, and just started it again today. Black House wasn't as much to my taste, but I liked it okay. Joe Hill's NOS4A2 reminded me of it, in parts. Maybe it was just tone or something.

I wouldn't discount the power and affect of Ms Mod's constant bitching to just get on with it. :)
I do know Peter Straub but not well enough to bitch at him and he's the other half of the equation. :smile:Without him there probably wouldn't be a next one but Steve has told me they already know the direction they're going to take so maybe I do need to amp that up. :D

Do that and I might even vote for Hillary Clinton (bwahahaha... Sorry, couldn't say that with a straight face). :)
