You're old. Why is it your favorite?
Because I grew up watching it when it was on the television. The stories were brilliant, especially in the first series. Without the special effects of today, the show still holds up. There is one episode that still gives me the creeps when they find this guy imprisoned inside an asteroid. The spaceships are tops. Even the computer was brilliant. The guy that did it also made the Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlett, UFO, etc.

Good deal. I watched some of it, but by then I was finding myself incapable of keeping up with change. I mean, Landau and Barbara Bain no longer on Mission: Impossible but now on some other show? Changes; they sucked then and they suck now.

Seeing you brought up Mission Impossible, what is the best theme song from the following shows: 1) The Mod Squad 2)Mission Impossible 3) The Streets of San Francisco 4) Hawaii Five-O
hey, life's one big change. You either adapt or end up on planet cooky.

Doctor Who is sci-fi, but it also regularly veers off into horror and various other genres. Actually pretty much any and every genre. Even comedy.
Was Doctor Who big in America? I think Marvel made a comic book, so it must have been fairly popular. One of my favourite episodes in 'The Masque of Mandragora'. I like the Tom Baker doctor.

Avid fan of the original Star Trek. Don't watch it much anymore. The first million times were enough.

Became a more avid fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Can still watch a number of those episodes. Nominal fan of DS9 and Voyager.

Was a big fan of Stargate SF-1 through about the first five seasons.

And Firefly was a brilliant child who died way too young.

Didn't much like Lost in Space (too childish) or 1999 (too impossible) or Dr. Who back in the '60s and '70s (too cheesy). Yeah, I was the annoying geeky kid who was too persnickety about his science fiction. Well... still am, I guess.

The X-Files! I also like Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, Star Trek Next Generation and Star Trek Voyager and I've recently started watching Eureka and Warehouse 13.
Oh and does Knight Rider count? I figure a talking car is pretty Sci-fi, atleast it was when it was made.
