And if you own or owned a Golf 1,2,3or 4 Convertable, it was built there, also every Scirocco 1+2 and Corrado

Today it is a VW Facility and they build Porsche Caymans (hello danie ) there.

Well, I was born in Boston, MA. There's lots of things Boston is known for. Probably the most important was the Boston Tea Party. It was one of the triggers of the American Revolution.

I currently live in Weymouth, MA. It used to have a major naval air station (my condo complex is right next door to where it used to be). Abigail Adams and Hal Holbrook were born there.

I looked it up and there seems to be something about a fire.
We've had fires. Nothing major. We have a volunteer fire company, a police station, several churches, bars and even a Turkey Hill gas station open 24 hours. There was talk of turning an old defunct Catholic seminary into a pig farm, but that died off. :)

Yeah, my neighborhood is right next to the fire station, pretty good considering an abandoned house right across the creek caught ablaze last year, it was a total bonfire that completely burned it to the ground, it certainly was a spectacle to watch from the backyard, luckily no nearby houses were hurt.

I love living in the country with corn fields as my neighbor. Very little rules. I don't need a fence around my pool. I can burn anything I want. The wind and woods in the back takes care of the leaves in fall. If I don't mow the lawn for a month... no problem. And everyone has a live and let live attitude and doesn't get into other peoples business. The biggest complaint is drunk skiers take out my mailbox on a regular basis coming down the road from the ski resort.

The town I was born in is know for a toxic Superfund site which takes up about half the town. Some 35 years later and it still hasn’t been cleaned up. I still glow a little in the dark. Other than that it is known for my uncle who played in the MLB for 20 years, and Eli Easton (her name was Jane Smith when I knew her) who is a video game creator and author (most known as the creator of the Gabriel Knight series of adventure games).

The Netherlands
Germans.

I'm not kidding. Basically everything here is to cater for the Germans; signs, special bus lines, special food trucks... They come here by the dozen everyday, but especially on Saturdays, Sundays and (German) holidays. The city actually sends out a warning when a German holiday is coming up, because there is no way you will be able to move through the city on days like that (buses even skip the city centre). May 1st? October 3rd? November 1st? If you live in my city, you know that you will have to plan a day at home. :p

(I hope this goes without saying, but absolutely no offense to any Germans of course! This is just what's going on here, my city is really known for it.)

Present location: Greeneville TN...only town in U.S. with 4 "e"'s in name; also birthplace of President Andrew Johnson
Hometown: Meadville PA...birthplace of the zipper, and home of Channelock tools
...and experience shows me, that once upon a time in broken zipper land-Channellock pliers helped stitch up the open barn door.....

I lived in Mahanoy City, PA for a while. Nothing special about the town, but it was located near Centralia, PA, and was my old stomping ground. Lots of parties in the woods with smoke coming up through the ground. Like living in a horror movie. Centralia has been on fire for almost 60 years (maybe longer) and is now pretty much a ghost town. Seems toxic waste, fire and brimstone follow me everywhere. Is someone trying to tell me something? :)
