Exactly, it is that too. Manages to be both which i find rather rare.
Have you heard when the next season might air? With covid, it's probably not even filmed yet. But I am curious where they will go with this.

And

The guy chained up outside? The soldiers know an Italian was with them. How is she going to explain that she chained him up and left him? Of course, she thought the others would get to him, she didn't realize they would come another way. But, that's murder. She's gonna have to explain that and they want to put her in charge of something that will be in the next season. How will all the flyers look at her when they know she chained him to die? Because they will see him.

I don't think Netflix has said anything yet about it. But considering their earlier policy with series made in european country for the first time (First Belgian Netflix series) all others have gotten at least two seasons. Also it has been a hit sofar on Netflix and i know the book its based goes much longer forward so they have a lot of material to spin on and don't need to invent to much. But i may be a bit late since the corona has made all filming close down. Hopefully next spring, perhaps even earlier. How much time is needed to make a season?

I honestly don't know. But I'm looking forward to the rest of the story. Have you read the book?

Started watching Locke&Keys, watched 2 episodes so far. I like it though I am not the biggest fantasy fan, it reminds me of Neil Gaiman some way...

Defending Jacob on Apple TV

I bought an apple product a while back and got a year of the streaming service, Apple TV with it. The free subscription that came with the Apple product is a bare bones subscription with not many free choices so I haven't bothered to watch anything on it until now. I read that this series is good so I watched episode 1 last night (this show is free). One of the main characters, Jacob is one of the It kids (Jaeden Martell). I've only seen one episode but it appears that Jacob is going to be accused of killing one of his classmates. I like it so far.

Different production companies and perhaps the actress was not available when they wanted to film.
Yep, that's probably it, Audience did Mr Mercedes while HBO does The Outsider. It just seems weird to me, like if when Smallville was going on, there was another show which included Superman and they had a different actor play him. Weird.

Happens all the time, though. Batman and Spiderman immediately come to mind.
They just announced that the directors edition of Justice league will be coming out next year on HBO's new streaming service, which will have one Batman, and there is also The Batman which is coming out, with Robert Pattison as Batman, and there will also be the new season of the DC series, Titans, which will have another Batman. Three Batman's in one year? As a fanboy of DC I approve of this though. Maybe the exception being Pattison. And that is not even taking into account the animation versions of Batman.

But the first movie Justice League was very far from good. Do you think a directors cut can change that??

Director's cuts can sometimes make a huge difference, however when it comes to Zac Snyder films it depends on who you ask. I did not like Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice at all, and I watched the Snyder cut

Yes. The elements of a great movie are there. The film changed directors half way through cinematography and the new director actually started wrtiing a new plot as he was going, which is never a good idea. If you check out the first trailer, this is a pretty good idea of what the movie was going to be before they brought in another director. You will notice that some scenes are not in the movie and there is not as much cringey dialogue (Thanks Joss Whedon). Directors editions of the movie do make a difference, studios start interfering because they think that they know what their audience is, wheras in reality they hired a director to give their take on a character or series, but they seem to completeley ignore this. Plenty of movies have had problems in this regards, and studio executives, when they change movies, very rarely improve upon it.

Zack Snyder is an excellent director, yu just have to check his filmography to know that. What did you not like about the Ultimate Edition of BVS? I thought it was excellent, the biblical illusions are insanely well done, along with just about everything else. Say what you will about the film, at least it didn't strive for boredom or mundaneness like every Marvel film of recent.
