What other stories would have Bachman books?

Apparently Misery was slated to be the next book under Richard Bachman before he was killed, so it makes me wonder: What existing King stories do you think would have been published under Bachman if the secret had never come out?
When did they 'let the cat out of the bag' so to speak?

Tommyknockers came out in 1987 and is kind of different so perhaps that one would have been a Richard Bachman (who knows?)

Edit: I found this:

After Bachman's true identity was revealed, later publicity dispatches (and about the author blurbs) revealed that Bachman died suddenly in late 1985 of "cancer of the pseudonym, a rare form of schizonomia".

...I think The Dark Half would fit that bill....
I just got a copy of this one this weekend at Value Village - I will have to crack it open!

It's a first edition hardcover 1989 Viking Penguin - in very good condition (wow - I am starting to sound like kingricefan ) :blues::biggrin2::icon_eek:

Misery Loves Company? What are some of those Misery titles? Those bodice rippers? I'm guessing Bachman might have gone full-monty, ole what's-his-face...who knows...romances...other stuff. Patterson? Cranking out titles left and right.
Blaze? Seems like a safe bet. Blockade Billy?

Joyland has the feel of a Bachman book, I think. And the Bill Hodges trilogy.
Joyland? - that's an interesting choice - I thought that Bachman was more of the "dark side" of Stephen King and Joyland is a bit of a mystery and a coming of age love story

I would agree with Mr. Mercedes but have to admit I still have not read the second and third books yet (Finder's Keepers and End of Watch) although I own them both!

Not at all - it's a great thing!
:biggrin2::cool2::encouragement:

So I just went and looked and of course I already have a first edition The Dark Half in hardcover :facepalm: - so now I guess it is one to keep and one to either lend or just try to keep in pristine condition.

There's no law that states that you can only have one of each title of King books in your possession.......just sayin'. :dbl: I have duplicates of almost every one.

You don't have a husband who comes home and questions why I have more than one copy of any book
I suppose it is better than having an addiction to booze or cigarettes, eh?
