Hm...what would I give the multi-millionaire author...? What could I give the multi-millionaire author? What might mean the most?
How about my heartfelt thanks for all the happy hours spent reading his books? Maybe even a special thank you for Hearts in Atlantis, which helped me through the darkest and most difficult period of my life simply by providing an escape?
So, on the off-chance he might see this (for one never knows where the King's eye shall fall (Hm. A grotesquerie. How's that?))...thank you, Stephen.

A copy of Adam magazine containing the elusive story "The Float" that King later rewrote as "The Raft". In Skeleton Crew King relays the story of how he received payment from this magazine for the story but was never successful in locating this particular issue. Any aficionados know what became of this?

^^This^^. I love this idea. The little autobiographical snippets at the end of Skeleton Crew are one of my favorite aspects of the book.

...a simple "thank you" would probably be a perfect gesture, that or dog treats for the Corgi in Residence....

Yep...and most people know the difference between a thanks said to make ones self look good in front of the crowd and a sincere thank you for providing so many hours of wonder and entertainment and escapes from reality.
I'm sure the Corgi would appreciate treats...and perhaps a few pounds of beef from the butcher :D

Personally, if I had the means I'd build him his very own Talking Isaac doll and/or the SK drinking game featured on Nostalgia Critic's channel.
I've never met him, but anyone with his writing ability and talent and way of seeing things in life for what they (sometimes) really are probably has a tremendous sense of humor :)
