I was away for a while and when I came to old forum I saw it's locked. Can anyone tell me why that happened? Old forum was really good with many interesting topics...

This message board permanently closed on June 30th, 2020 at 4PM EDT and is no longer accepting new members.
Maybe it was locked because of disagreements in the thread. When the arguing is no longer civil, sometimes moderators will shut down the thread.
Are you meaning the old board? We switched to this new site for a variety of reasons. The old board can't be open or it allows postings, or at least that is my understanding, so it can't be left open.

Yes, I'm talking about the old board. There were so many great discussions there and now it's all locked. I feel nostalgy...it's never going to be the same.
No new postings can be done on the old format of the MB. However, it is archived and you still maybe able to read some old postings---

...nothing remains exactly the same,I wasn't fond of the new format either-believe me...but it has become as comfortable to me now as the old one, even with new features and missing old ones...
It's like in It's A Wonderful Life, when Clarence the angel tells George Bailey, "Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?".
Now, I'm not suggesting that the rest of us are an awful hole, or even certain ones. I'm just saying... Oh, I forgot to finish the sentence. I was saying, I'm just saying we all waited and waited and then, finally, had to make a change we figured you'd, eventually, find strange and a bit difficult to adjust to. But, there was no choice, and the new plan can't, at least for the time being, include some of the things you miss. Many others - not necessarily awful holes, too - equally miss those things, though we've found the new SKMB capable of meeting most needs met previously.
