Stephen King has got to be my ultimate favourite Author. I don't read much, if at all but when I do, it's his Novels.

The first book I ever read by Stephen King was Cujo. I was around 10 or 11, I'm gonna guess 11. My mother had belonged to the Double Day Book Club back in the 70's and she needed one more book to pick so she had me pick one.

I ran my eyes across this tiny little square image of a Saint Bernard's nose and it was titled Cujo. Needless to say, that's the one I picked and I read that book from cover to cover and even did it for a book report in school. I got a B on it by the way!

So if you can probably guess, I've just shown my age. I'm 51 today.

Since then, I've been enthralled with Stephen King. I moved on to more books and and watched the movies as they came rolling out. Really looking forward to the Dark Tower!

When I was around 16 or 17 Pet Semetary was rolling off the assembly line, hot off the presses, and I remember hearing that he would be at our Mall signing autographs for his "new" novel. You guess it, I was first in line along with my best friend at the time, we had our picture in the paper with him. I have yet to find the microfiche of this event. I've tried scouting the public library but cannot, for the life of me, remember the exact date. Nor can I remember the exact year.

I have since lost the Pet Semetary Hardcover that was signed, too many changes in my life, so I've lost a lot of things of value. But I'll always cherish those memories.

Hi, my name is Donna, I'm originally from New Hampshire but now reside in Australia. I probably won't frequent the forum much, Im not much of a forum user but I just had to poke my head in here. Perhaps I'll poke again from time to time but otherwise, you'll find me reading his books or re-watching some of his classic movies, like Firestarter or The Dead Zone.

Cheers!
