Original movie-- alternate ending ( which SK said he liked)- acceptable.

The alternate ending? I didn't know there was an alternate ending. I take it he doesn't do that one thing in the ending? If so, I may have to pass because I felt that was an improvement over the novel. I had to edit this post because I almost spoiled the ending and while it is an old film, I noticed this forum people are still careful with spoilers even if the film is thirty years old.
