Who or what, is your favorite monster of all time?

I'm a fan of noir movies. When younger I watched (by myself) a 1942 movie titled Cat People. The movie, though in black and white, generated such a spell binding atmosphere I was absolutely hooked when I first saw it. The "monster" here is a young woman who transforms into a black panther. The entire scenario was attractive to me, and still is. The actress who played the part and underwent the unheard-of metamorphosis was Simone Simon.

Who is your favorite monster, whether human or not, and why?

Werewolves. Ever since I was a little kid I was obsessed with wolves, don't ask me why. I thought the idea of a dude morphing into a wolf was just so bad-@ss. Used to watch all the Universal b&w Wolfman movies with my dad every Saturday on the TV. My wish-list of remakes is for someone to do Cycle of the Werewolf with Rick Baker designing the wolves just like Berni Wrightson drew them in the book.

Little kids scare me.I was maybe 7-9 years old when I watched the movie, El Libro De Piedra and it just about traumatized me (and brothers). Statue of a little kid in the garden of a family estate.

Little girl who lost her mother. Dad has a new, young, wife who wants the girl analyzed (institutionalized). The girl has a close friendship with the Hugo, the boy statute. Hugo loves her and protects her. Bad things happen to people who are not nice to the girl. Ack!

I love this movie! I love these skeletons! This is my favorite seen in the whole movie. I read a book by a model maker who had these skeletons that he did as models and I would love to have one.

I like the Wolf Man and the werewolf legend. I enjoy a scary vampire novel or movie, too, but not the whiny vampires. Like NN shared, give me the freaky, flying James Dean vampires that may, at any moment, start singing a Billy Idol song, lol.

I too like the Wolf Man, especially the Lon Chaney version. I like anything noir.
