I signed up for Hulu specifically for 11/22/63. As the last episode is today, will you continue subscribing to this platform? And if yes, what for? Old network series? Original Hulu series? Movies? I'm up in the air and would appreciate thoughts...

Yup, but I've subscribed for the last couple of years. We don't have cable, so we watch some current series and some older series. Plus, it's traditionally had a lot of really interesting British shows that I haven't seen anywhere else. They have a good collection of older/art films, and have been boosting the number of more recent films lately, as well. I noticed recently that I have watched Hulu a lot more than Netflix lately.

Yep, we're keeping it. I've found lots of neat shows on there!

I actually subscribed to Super Channel so I could record 11/22/63, but I did hula hoop back in the day actually...

I've had Hulu for years so im keeping it. Like skimom, we don't have cable anymore so we stream whatever we feel like watching.
Sure beats paying $$$ for a hundred channels that never aired anything we'd want to watch.

Gosh, I was undecided but now I'm leaning heavily toward keeping it. At very first, I was going to unsubscribe for sure, as soon as 11.22.63 ended. Then I started wobbling when I saw all the movies and classic TV they offer.
I'm going to think about until I decide I'm keeping it. :encouragement:
Stephen King should earn a commission for all the new subscribers he's pulled in.

I'm in the UK, so in theory you can't get Hulu. The only way you can do it is by changing your VPN, basically making it look like your computer is in the US, I'm not computer savi enough to do something like that. Jerry Seinfeld tweeted yesterday that Ted L Nancy was starting a show where he replies to scam e-mails. Would love to watch that, his book Letters From a Nut was fantastic.

When I was considering subscribing to Hulu and watching 11/22/63 (neither of which I wound up doing) I poked around to see what shows they had and came up with mostly stuff I would never watch. I'm much more into older shows and they hardly had any. There was a lot of junk though. I'm sure Hulu will not go under without my subscription though. ;;D

Hi Neesy, That looks like a clip from Lolita. Great movie (but an even better book). Enjoy your week, mal.
Wonderful, troubling book. I despise the movies, though--they completely miss the point of the book. Lolita wasn't a temptress--she was a 12 year old girl, doing normal 12 year old things. Humbert Humbert was a pedophile and a thoroughly unreliable narrator who presented his view of things to justify molesting a child (and salivating over the thought that Lolita would have a girl child so he could have another little girl). He's got my vote for the most despicable character in literature.

I got the Hulu commercial free subscription. I will pay an extra four bucks a month to go without commercials. Comcast, On Demand now has all kinds of shows you can't fast forward through commercials. I hate, hate, hate that. I'm so close to dumping Comcast I can smell it.
See I have a problem with TV. I am Pats, and I am an addict. Books and TV are crack to me. I am addicted to stories. Since I don't go out partying anymore, or spend money on hobbies or fancy clothes, or shoes or travel, Gods bless me. I pay for cable to make up for doing without other frivolities.
But really? Do I have to spend so much on cable when there are so many alternatives?
I'm going to call them next week and cancel. Then they are going to make me an offer I can't refuse, it happens every time I decide to break up with them.
I should try deciding to keep it, but pretend to break up with them so they will cut my bill. But I never do. Go figure.
When I call to cancel I have every intention of cancelling. I never do. Go figure again. Comcast is the Devil?

Hi, I'm Autumn, and I'm a story addict (too). :)

I can't speak for anyone but myself and my family, but we haven't missed cable since we dropped it almost three years ago. We still have Comcast internet (because it is the fastest and most reliable in our area), and we use it to stream Netflix, Hulu, and whatever other free channels our Roku can pick up (and there are a LOT of those). The lone show we can't get is The Walking Dead, and we just purchase the season on VUDU--at around $26/season, it's a lot less than we were paying for cable. :)

For those who signed up exclusively for 11 22 63, check out the new series "The Path". it stars Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad fame, and has been excellent through the first two episodes. I've read that Hulu is dedicating massive amounts of money to bolstering their original series offerings, of which 11 22 was only the start. If you enjoyed 11 22, show them support and keep the subscription.

I plan on taking a look at that this weekend--it looks interesting!
