On a sideways(UK)-related note, we have Sky (satellite, though it's also available (mostly) through cable). We also have Netflix and Amazon Prime subs. We're about to ditch Sky in favour of a streaming service called NowTV. It's still offered and operated by Sky, oddly enough, but it costs around £6.99 a month for channels including Fox and Sky Atlantic (mostly US imports, hence the name) instead of a minimum of £22-23. OK, it'd mean we lose channels like Nat Geo, Discovery, et al, but tbh they aren't a patch on what they used to be anymore. The main thing is that we can still get all the things we like, and since 11.22.63 is airing on Fox over here...it's a no-brainer.
Problem is, trying to cancel is like trying to keep hold of a greased eel. It's 'how about if we put you on this deal?' and 'would you consider this offer?', and they don't like it if you just shout at them or go 'No! Now just f****** cancel it!'
