My wife is SK-fan, she loves King's books so much, that I can't tell. I think she will be very-very happy if she gets an autograph from her favorite on her birthday. Absolutely amazing!! Can imagine why you were so overwhelmed! And what a place to meet him!
We've had proposals to have one of those autograph machines but Steve said if it ever got to the point he'd need that, he'd just stop doing them as he doesn't feel that having his signature done by a machine is fair to fans who are expecting a genuine autograph.You need one of these for the office...
And that is why we love our Stephen King !!!

That's what the people are really seeking--the autograph is more of a representation of something that that person had a physical connection with and I don't think giving the machine a pat every so often counts.
