WTB: IT first edition dust jacket (pristine condition)

So I've been able to track a 1st/ 1st copy of IT in pristine condition. The thing is the dust jacket is in rough shape.

Can anybody PLEASE help me find/ sell me a pristine conditioned dust jacket?

I'd be even willing to buy the book off of you if it's paired with one.

Super bummed about my purchase. Love the book hate the jacket

I'm thinking this may be the way to go. Are you or anyone else here for that matter well enough versed in this book to tell me if the dust jacket differs from a first and second and third printing?

I know it has to have the price and code on the inside of the jacket but anything else?

With patience, a great one can be found on ebay or other sites in the $80 - $125 range. I suspect that to be able to entice any of the collectors here, you'd probably have to go well above that. I don't even know what number would entice me.

I think your best bet is Becca's suggestion, or to completely return your book if it wasn't as described and just keep searching for that excellent copy. It WILL come along, it just takes some time, luck and searching effort.

The only real difference would be when the price on the front flap changes, but I do not know when that happened. If you find a 2nd or 3rd with a dustjacket that has the $22.95 price, I think that you would be fine with swapping it.

I think the first 6 or 7 printings didn't change at all, but after that the price may have increased. You have to look for one with the $22.95 price on it.
