The Medal
The National Medal of Arts was designed by the late Robert Graham, an internationally renowned sculptor whose design was chosen by a special committee of the National Council on the Arts from among 31 designs submitted in a national competition. Mr. Graham is known for creating the Gateway for the XXIII Olympiad in Los Angeles.
Thanks Spidey... :)

I've just checked out the list of people having received a National Medal of Arts award, it is impressive and will be wonderful having Stephen's name attached to the list, lots of fine people on there to keep him company.

Good day, I'm new here and I would like to know where or how can I have signed book, My dad was a big fan of Mr. King, he passed away almost 2 years ago and he gave me all his books, would like to meet him in person for a book sign up.

Best Regards to all

Sorry, but as noted in the FAQ/Rumors, he only signs books at official autograph sessions and in recent years, he has mostly been pre-signing books rather than signing books brought in by fans.

Actually, if you bake a reeaaaallllllyyyyy good rhubarb pie, Moderator will gladly sign the book herself. Also she may give you a series of unsolvable clues, encased in the La Caja de Misterio, of where you can randomly find Mr. King shopping for baked goods, burritos and possum liver. :)
...and I can give the kitchen tour!....BTW Luis, welcome to our Vida Loca!!!....
