When you have a hard time putting on those special stretchy socks that are supposed to prevent DVTs - hey! (I have a desk job) :facepalm_smiley::snicker:

lol... I'm spose to wear those things so I can walk further than 100 feet without having to stop (i have terrible claudication) but trying to get them on raises my blood pressure so high, they're counter-productive :(

...and they cost 28 bucks a pair! (up here, anyway)
I was advised to wash them by hand and hang to dry (work, work, work)

I had a red pair and a purple pair and wore one of each color on each foot. I was such a rebel back then!!!
they only made black and white when I was a kid, though I think I remember red ones eventually being introduced..when you are a kid, those are all you need for sneakers,no need for any of the hi tech other stuff, the springs were in our legs!

I remember ages ago, I heard a 70s song (can't remember which now...too old, I guess) that was a remake of the one I listened to as a kid. I knew I was old then.
This year, I taught with a 25-year-old guy, and we were talking about running. He said his father ran, but he was pretty old, like in his early 50s...I'm 51...sheesh, I felt old that day.

I feel old also when hubby and I are watching movies and it's something like Breakfast Club and you realize that came out
30 years ago! Is that even possible???

Thanks. I am in the suburbs of Phila. When I move in June, I will still be in the suburbs of Phila - but in a different state. :Oo:

Just wanted to quote this because it's perfect.

Cover songs can shove your age right in your face. Given this, can you imagine growing up in the 80's? Early/mid 90's music covered, "borrowed" and reworked music that was barely three years old, much less a decade. "Premature aging" gains a new psychological level when the music you listened to as a teen is being rehashed when you're in your 20's
