I hope I remain gainfully employed, I hope my kids don't drive me to rip my hair out, I hope my hair doesn't get any grayer, I hope I don't have to deal with too much stupidity from people and thus will want to leave the house more (I'm damn near a hermit now), and I hope to avoid crazy women. Especially that last one.

Personal hopes for the New Year:

No bad news about lives being shattered or ending. Including my own.
Make enough money to pay for the home improvements.
My graduating grandchildren to find their way happily and productively.
To have less alcohol and weight in my body.
To continue the traveling gigs.
To be "discovered" in writing, and whether or not that happens, to be productive with it.
To hike more.
England and Scotland with Grandma in the spring, and New England in the fall.
