I hope you don't think that I was making fun of you. I love the fact that there are more folks like me out there who want to have as much King treasures as they can get (or afford).
Aye, you are not alone kind sir. I just added one of my most wanted to the collection. A Blockade Billy S/L. I actually liked the book and the baseball card was a must have!

Have you started this one yet sir? Any good? It looks interesting as far as plot goes. I'm about 50/50 on Joe Hill's offerings so far but this one looks like a pretty solid sci-fi plot.
While I am not THE sir(or a sir at all for that matter) it IS a good sci fi plot and a quick read. Lord of the Flies ish. He is supposed to be expanding on it and hopefully making it into a full blown novel as there is much more that can take place. Of course he's been saying this for awhile now ;-D I don't think you can download it. PS did three different versions of the book(a signed slipcased, a signed non slipcased, and a regular trade. I have the latter two)but you never know what the 'Net holds....The regular trade should go for about $50 or less these days.

Congrats on your grab Scott! Hope you enjoy it.

I ordered this as well. At first I wavered....and then I didn't. Is the King story The Blue Air Compressor for sure? I was hoping it was something different since that's included in the upcoming anthology by Lilja which(sigh)is also on preorder. Any guess as to who you think the surprise book will be?
No idea who the surprise author will be.

Not a purchase but Chizmar over at CD has some sort of major announcement coming....Could it be a King S/L?
I have no idea and it very well may have nothing to do with King but maybe a future purchase....
S/L? Does that mean 'signing' or 'lecture'?

Gerald's game and Dolores Claiborne. Also searching to buy IT and NIght shift.
Hard to find though. Publisher out of stock.:too_sad:

It and Night Shift can be easily found sites like Ebay and Abebooks, Biblio, Alibris - just depends on whether you want a first edition...book club copies and later printings are fairly inexpensive. First editions will be pricey.

Naughty, naughty, you weren't supposed to mention this......:shh:
:biggrin-new:
I think it's okay now with the lottery being mentioned and others have posted elsewhere about getting one, however I immediately deleted the link :bashful:.
It was due to being a previous LRB customer and my last order was the Blatty Scripts(excited about that too!)
Hmmmm.....I'm thinking YOU need to share something now :excitement:

Any of you better booksleuths than I am? I recently bought a copy of Night Shift from 1/2 Priced Books for 3.50 and I'm trying to figure out what edition it is? I looked it up but got so many different answers I'm rightly confused. And it won't let me post my pictures! :cry_002:

It would definitely say First Edition on the copyright page, code S52 in gutter and have $8.95 on the dust jacket. Red boards quarter bound in black with red pastedowns. If you found a first, you are lucky indeed... that is a rare one with somewhere between 12,000 and 15,000 copies!
