It would definitely say First Edition on the copyright page, code S52 in gutter and have $8.95 on the dust jacket. Red boards quarter bound in black with red pastedowns. If you found a first, you are lucky indeed... that is a rare one with somewhere between 12,000 and 15,000 copies!

Well, it's not a first edition, though it is the same dust jacket. o_O How could I tell which it was? I don't want to sell it, but I'd like to know exactly what I have. I do, however, have a first edition Song of Susannah apparently! Thank you ladies!

And since it was an anthology of short stories (by a relatively new author), which are notorious for not selling many copies to the general public, most of those copies were sold off to libraries. If only we could go back in time and snatch up those early King titles......

I think it's okay now with the lottery being mentioned and others have posted elsewhere about getting one, however I immediately deleted the link :bashful:.
It was due to being a previous LRB customer and my last order was the Blatty Scripts(excited about that too!)
Hmmmm.....I'm thinking YOU need to share something now :excitement:[/QUOTE]

A week ago I ordered last year's The Dark Tower 8-book boxed set. It was just shipped today (it is weird that Amazon took so long to ship it, but it is still inside the promised time, so it is fine).

I will give my set of the first four books plus my copy of The Wind Through the Keyhole to a friend, I guess, but I really wanted the last three books and I definitely prefer to have a matching, boxed set for the whole series.

By the way, yesterday I finished the first half of The Waste Lands. Wonderful story so far.
