...derp!....I apologize....was meaning to tell you we had checked the house, but my train of thought completely derailed.....
No need to apologize - that was a real whirlwind weekend!

Hope you guys are recovering from that long drive home :tickled_pink:

Josh goes back to work on Monday and then it's back to our regular routine.

I was just checking through my books and no Journals of Elanor Druse or Rose Red. Going to scour eBay and Amazon for them.
I don't have a copy of The Journals of Eleanor Druse either. Have a paperback of The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer that was a gift from a dear SKMB friend (read it last year and really enjoyed it). Would like to find both of these in hardcover.

Can it be my Stephen King related visit too? I went to The Stanley in Colorado! I did get a souvenir door plate of 217, which I plan to put on my bedroom door, lol! And a pen and bookmark because I am a geek.
It was neat to be there. I love that I saw the lions! I do agree with Mr. King, it was creepy. (Of course, I might not have thought so if I didn't know the history). I would suggest to take the tour, stay for a beer, (or other drink) and then read "The Shining" before or after. I am reading the audiobook and now I know where he is talking about! And why the hotel was called The Overlook.

Oh yes, we did see the Rocky Mountains too in Colorado and there were big huge sticks next to the road so the trucks can see the road in the snow. That provided an element and vision of how snowy it can get up there, which was the perfect setting for a mountain resort and a scary story.

I will look for a second one for you, Morgan. Thre is the largest used bookstore in the city about 1 1/2 miles away. Have to wait for the weather to cool down before I do that walk. Probably be mid August.
Never heard from that lady with the SK books. Disappointed that she backed away. No integrity.
