My son was tidying up one of the bookcases and PUT SOMEONE ELSE ON THE KING'S SHELF. That's not allowed, not ever. But I don't order them in any way - I just like to see them hanging out together.
yes they very much are! :) Lol that's funny! Yeah I know how you feel they do look nice all together but I need to store my old children's books somewhere else and arrange them differently.

Found Hailemann and Halperan's Game Change in hardcover for $2! Was planning on buying a new copy soon. Also got David McCollough's 1776 and a nifty copy of A Tale of Two Cities.

Hope to find a good SK book soon!

OMG! THE NERVE OF SOMEPEOPLE!! ;)
I have a hardcover copy of every King novel, even the DT. Back when he published volume 5, Viking re-issued the first 4 in HC and naturally I had to have them. Mine are in order of publication on the shelf, with a couple of them being kind of tired, or "much enjoyed" if you prefer.

Well, I've hit the jackpot over the past 2 weeks. KFF (Linda) sent me: The Bachman Books, Thinner, Cell, Desperation, The Regulators, The Dead Zone and Firestarter. Then my husband hit it big at a thrift store and brought home: The Talisman, It, The Stand, The Dark Half, Cell, Desperation, and Four Past Midnight - all hardcover, and Everything's Eventual last week. And Tuesday this week he scored Nightmares & Dreamscapes. So my collection just increase by 16 books (mostly hardcovers, excellent condition) in 14 days. YAY me!

I have been looking for this book for months. No luck so far! Finding lots of The Passage tho.....

It's an ex-library copy, but the only indication of its being a library copy is a sticker with a bar code stuck on the front cover. No other markings at all. The rest of the book doesn't look like it's been read more than once. I'm very pleased.

Wow, spoiled much?

I think I have all of his stories available in books now (apart from the baseball fan review one) - I don't have SK goes the movies because all of those stories are available in other collections. So I have just ordered 5 novel collection book of H.G Wells - The Time Machine, War of the worlds, The Invisible Man, The First Men In The Moon, & The Island of Dr Moreau. I was looking for just War of the Worlds, which started at £1.74 to about £4.50 for a used copy, and I saw the '5 great novels' book for £2.69 so it pretty much made sense. (Btw, I use Play.com and Amazon.co.uk so they are like online thrift stores.)

You have them all? Man, if only! But then the quest would be over. I like the hunt, actually going to the stores to browse. And I don't buy them new (not anymore). I used to wait anxiously for them to come out in mass market paperbacks, but those yellow and get bent out of shape, so I'd pass them on. Now I'm on a quest to own all hardcovers. It's a fun game! I also like to collect books I loved as a child - Judy Blume, Paul Zindel. And I love British Chic Lit.
