Let me know your opinion when you read Cry To Heaven.
I have always wanted to read that one.
Hey! What about my opinion? After all, I am kingricefan.......;;D Scott, it is a very good book. It reads much better than The Feast Of All Saints (which the first half of reads like a textbook). The subject matter is very interesting- I learned a lot about what life was like for castratos...... I highly recommend that you read it.

I almost tagged you, lol, sorry ...:cower:

Castratos, yeah, that's the word I was looking for. If I can find a copy. I will. I like her descriptive writing but sometimes, like TWH, it's too much. The latter half of that book wore me out.

Here's what I came home with today. It's a 12th printing but in very good shape. Cost me all of $1.99!

Jaws 2, the paperback novelization of the flick, by some cat named Hank Searls. Probably won't ever read the thing, just bought it because it's in great shape and looks cool. I have a fetish for old novelizations of old horror movies. I dunno...I might get really bored some day and read it. I happen to think the film is an underappreciated masterpiece. Yikes, did I just say that out loud?

I found a 1928 First Trade Printing edition of the first English translation of Bambi. I bought it for a quarter at an estate sale. It's in near mint condition, save some discoloration on the spine. The lettering and Bambi on he cover still have their gilding. No dust jacket. The research I've done put it at about $150-$200 in value.
