I honestly don't find too many King titles out here, which I take as a good sign meaning that his readers and fans don't want to get rid of his books.I guess all the SK fans live in your area. Fl , at least my area , is void of used SK books.
See, your Hooky Day is working-- you found a positive in finding a lack of used books!!I honestly don't find too many King titles out here, which I take as a good sign meaning that his readers and fans don't want to get rid of his books.
....what a find!!.....On Saturday I found an beautiful signed and inscribed hardback 1st printing of A River Runs Through It by Norman Maclean! This is quite a rare title to find as there were only 5,000 copies printed and it was through the University Of Chicago, not a major publishing house, therefore there was no big budget for promotion. It is signed by the author but he only put down his first name. All of the other examples online of this book with an autograph show him using his first and last name, which leads me to believe that the owners of this book were very close friends of his. I think this is one of the Holy Grail's for book scouts and collectors. The name after 'To' is scratched out with a black marker and the only thing I can figure is that there was bad blood between this person and 'Bev', (whom they both loved), whoever she is.

The prices are crazy for this title. Well, the asking prices. It all comes down to what someone is willing to pay.RETIRE!!!!!!!
I've never read anything by Don Robertson - thank you (and SK!) for the rec!Today the mailman delivered a very nice hardback copy of The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread by Don Robertson (one of Steve's favorite authors) and a copy of Tales From The Darkside: Scripts By Joe Hill. Thriftbooks.com rocks!!
