Woke to the sound of singing Doves and raindrops. One thing for sure in Oregon, if you don't love the rain you are in the wrong place. Summer is coming. Right?

Rain and thunderstorms here in Memphis today. I think I have mentioned this no less than 4 times on the board already today. I love it - I think I would love to live in Oregon.Woke to the sound of singing Doves and raindrops. One thing for sure in Oregon, if you don't love the rain you are in the wrong place. After watching the TV series Grimm and seeing the beautiful scenery shown there, I think I would move there if I had the money!Woke to the sound of singing Doves and raindrops. One thing for sure in Oregon, if you don't love the rain you are in the wrong place. Summer is coming. Right?
It's beautiful. If there were decent jobs in BH's field, I'd move back in a heartbeat. Expensive place to live, though. And this is why I want to move to Oregon!
Yeah, the lack of jobs in my field is also why we're not there. It's beautiful. If there were decent jobs in BH's field, I'd move back in a heartbeat. Expensive place to live, though.

Expensive??? I live in LA!!!! Where a one bedroom condo cost half a million dollars!!!
I don't understand - does this mean there are no self serve pumps in Oregon or what? The main reason I'd hesitate to live in Oregon, believe it or not, is not being able to pump my own gasoline. It's like every time I need to fill up, the state is hitting me with a "PROTECTIONISM OVER PROGRESS" mallet.
I am SO okay with someone else pumping my gas in the rain. The main reason I'd hesitate to live in Oregon, believe it or not, is not being able to pump my own gasoline. It's like every time I need to fill up, the state is hitting me with a "PROTECTIONISM OVER PROGRESS" mallet.

It's against the law to pump your own gas there, Neesy. I have no clue why but I'm sure there's a reason.I don't understand - does this mean there are no self serve pumps in Oregon or what?

I definitely see your point. I want the option to have people pump my gas and I don't. Dang progress has taken away my choices!Sure, I understand that.
But if I'm in a hurry (and I usually am), I want the option, doggone it!
