Friday is my favorite day! Woohoo! I actually took a day off today. I have to shop and prepare for a camping trip. Just 24 hours but it's so hot here. We're gonna fry. I'm up early and was about to pack lunches when I realized: we are out of bread and we are out of baggies. Now how do you pack a lunch without that? And my kids refuse to eat school lunches. I've got some figuring out to do.

Happy Friday, y'all!

Happy Friday!

We decided to make a quick trip home to see my grandma. Left Wednesday morning and came home yesterday. Brandon, Alyssa and the baby went too! I didn't tell anyone they were going, so it was an awesome surprise for my grandma. :) Her eye is doing ok, the drs are pleased with how it is responding to treatment. Very uncomfortable for her, the antibiotic drops burn, and she can't use too much of her regular tear eyedrops, they could dissolve the glue they used to cover the hole in the cornea while it heals. So she is in some pain , but it is healing.

We got our 5 generation picture. :encouragement: Pretty informal, but sometimes those are the best kind of picture anyway! RJ was smiley and not scared of all the new faces, but didn't want to be held much, not after all that time in the car seat! :biggrin2:But I think seeing him helped my grandma's spirits a lot.

Hope you all are well! Have a great weekend! Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:

That's great news! I hope her eye continues to heal well and what a wonderful memento the picture will be for your family.

Chocolate after midnight, Flake?
Are you calling me a Gremlin?
Is it really Friday?? It's not just some cruel joke.

Sorry Flake I should have had this here for you, yesterday....no, today. You know what I mean.

From the good ol Midwest
Cat, I am so glad you had a great trip. Continued prayers and healing vibes being sent to you and yours.
Holly, I hope you figured out a way around the no baggie no bread issue. I can totally relate. What is it with school lunches, mine wont' touch them either! Every evening after dinner I pack lunches. If I packed them in the morning there's no telling what my sleep deprived self would put in them. Sending out hugs and good vibes to all who need them!!
