39 degrees, grey, foggy, damp, and still. So it's unlikely to clear, forecast for the UK for the week is more of the same which is depressing.:grey:
Anyone got any sunshine going spare? :eagerness:
We have sunshine in Winnipeg but it is cold - minus 10 Celsius or something like that - yuk

Still dark here...about 30F...a notch below zero Celsius. ESE winds at 16. Snow system moving over...1-3" predicted. Has felt damp the past few days...70% humidity right now and that will rise as the day progresses. Haven't had to crank up the snowblower as yet...that day is coming and if it holds off a time I won't complain. For the better part of the last twenty years I've had one neighbor shaking their fist at me...where to put it? the snow...even when I'm up on the garage roof...one of them would be inside doing the sister-act. Give me a break already...and then a year or two ago, the other neighbor comes running over when I'm blowing snow and tells me he's going to f-ing kill me. So...I always dread the day I have to blow snow. Things have mellowed somewhat....the one neighbor is gone now...the killer is still present...I pee on his snowbanks from time to time. Write expansive notes..."your long-johns are wholly!" ..."stained brown!" Life in a small town.

@Chuggs - you must be close to me. We're supposed to get an incredible winter storm Thursday & Friday - I sure hope so. The great thing about snow and ice here in the south is that it paralyzes us. School will be out, the boss will tell us not to worry about coming in. It'll be great!!!

for now it's still warmish for December, but it's been gray and overcast for days on end. I like it!

Here rained last night and now most of the snow has melt and it is very icy. Temp is 6C/ 44F I try to
be hopeful that we get a white Christmas this year. Again a big storm hit Finland. But this time my
area is safe from the storm. North Finland is this time in the storms way. Forecast said that it can blow up to 20 m/s
on the other hand this type of storms we have had these last few weeks.
It's blowing here too but not as bad as it blew on Saturday.

Our 1-3 inches turned into 12! More expected today and tomorrow. Hubby has been snowblowing for an hour and has only don half the driveway. It's 33 degrees out and the snow is very heavy. Heart attack snow we call it here in Wisconsin. I shoveled walks, porches, birdfeeders. Took it slow as I'm no spring chicken. Got all day to do it.:D

Thanks Cat. I think you're doing the same thing today? You be careful too! Just to clarify things I do know the word done has an e on the end. I post like I talk. No editing. Not always a good thing as besides spelling things wrong I tend to stick my foot in my mouth a lot.;DD

Ours is blowing around too much to even attempt shoveling yet. Terrible cold, -6 wind chill and it is expected to get down between -20 and -30 tonight. I think the temperatures are going to be more of a factor here than the snow with this storm. Brrrrr.

Yuck! That frigid air is on it's way here but for now it's pretty balmy. Our snow won't even blow out of the snowblower, it's so heavy.

Here is Out of Order's helpful tip of the day........

Try spraying your discharge chute with either Pam Cooking Oil Spray or a Silicone based spray (like waterproof for your boots perhaps). The sprays make it so the snow and ice won't stick. If there is still a jam-up in the chute you may need a new auger/impeller belt.......
