I'll buy that if Abraham is going to let Eugene tell him everything is 'classified' then he's going to let him go off into another room and 'communicate with Washington' on a dead sat-phone.

Also, on the last episode, what happened to the car that was following Daryl and Carol while they were following the hospital cop car? Remember, right behind them, after they passed the lady zombie in the road, her head got squished by someone following them...
I think what we were looking at there was the first car that hit the Walker was actually the car that Daryl and Carol were following. The second car that squashes the Walker was Daryl and Carol... following behind.

The Talking Dead revealed that there were four vans used for that shoot, and they removed the engine, transmission, and all fluids for safety reasons. But that must've affected the way it fell. The first shot of the van falling definitely should have resulted in a nose dive, or with the van falling on its roof. Not with the van somehow doing a full flip and landing back on the wheels...

Thanks Nate! You've just reminded me that I need to top up the antifreeze/water level in my car. :biggrin2:

I rewatched this scene. Yes, the first car is who we see hit the walker, the hospital car. The second car to squash her head is Daryl and Carol's car.

I figured out why I like Carol so much. She is who I hope I would be when the zombies come. (Minus the whole husband used to beat on me thing.) She is tough but in an understated way.

(Fingers crossed no one misunderstands me...)
She definitely is someone you'd want at your side - or watching your back - in that world because of her strength...but to what degree is she strong because of the way her marriage was?
See why I crossed my fingers? :smile2:
In no way am I saying getting beat on is or can be a good thing. It's not a justification for what Ed did (or what other men - and some women - do to their partners IRL). And yes, she was a whole person before her marriage, etc. (And yes, losing her daughter like she did would also have an extremely strong effect.)
I suppose what I mean is, whatever strength was there in the first place has been tested and tempered by experience. She either knows that if she can survive that, she can survive anything, or she just doesn't care whether she survives or not because she's used to the grind; where others find (or are finding) it to be their crucible, for her it's a case of been there, done that, is there anything else?
There've been a couple of hints about her true or 'original' character throughout the series, though. There was the obvious one in the last ep - simply having gone there in the past shows a certain strength of character, regardless of what she obviously did next - but then, in season one, she's one of the ones who says she misses her vibrator (iirc). The simple fact that she had one signals a certain defiance - her hubby surely wouldn't have tolerated her having such a thing, and she knew what his reaction would be - as well as the presence of a secret, vital part of her character that has not only withstood the violence, but has...not thrived on it, but has certainly not been beaten, in any sense, yet as we also saw this week, she's still vulnerable.
But as I've said before, it's an incredible performance and character development all round.
As for Carol and Daryl...they've both survived terrible abuse (remember Daryl's scars?), so they have that as a common bond. They don't speak about it much, but then they don't have to. They just know.

Good to see a Walking Dead thread on here :) I am also not looking forward to the break, but I guess it is better than waiting a whole year! We're planning to binge-watch the first half of S5 in the interval to fill the gap ;) I'm liking some of the theories posted here for sure; it'll be interesting to see how it pans out. Favourite character = Michonne, for sure. Probably one of my favourite characters ever :) I like how we saw her prove herself, and then find her place in the group. I hope we'll see a few more seasons yet!

One of my favourite.

Daryl, Michonne and Carol are my top 3.
Oh wait, and Glenn. And Rick... when he's not being a dick.
(top 5 then)

My favorite characters are Carol, Daryl and Tyrese. Though the arc between Eugene and Abraham has grown on me.

Here's an interesting video on Carol (Spoilers from the latest episode and they make some predictions at 5 minutes):

I've just watched this, (thanks LT) oh boy... I do get frightened when I hear predictions.
(I didn't know that about Carol at the Comic Con.)
