The fact that there are questions concerning this drug would turn me off right away. WOW

I have a history of epilepsy...no seizures for years now...but I could not take them because of this. If there is any chance of this drug causing suicidal ideation, I would never go near it. I would much rather smokes me lungs out. At least, I would know what was killing me lol.My doctor prescribed this for me a number of years ago when it first came out. I had to quit taking it after a week because I was allergic to it. Thankfully.
In Canada, it's Champix. In the US it's Chantix. I did a search. Probably something to do with patents, or something....the real name is Chantix, not sure where the "Champix" came from...though the side effects are real...
...makes sense, more than a stop smoking aid that kills you...In Canada, it's Champix. In the US it's Chantix. I did a search. Probably something to do with patents, or something.

A few years ago a friend of a friend, was taking Chantix; a normally nonviolent person, one day broke into a random home and killed an elderly couple, for no discernible reason. (the violent behavior was later questioned as a possible side effect of Chantix)
It makes you wonder how much testing is done on these powerful mind altering drugs and how in the world the FDA ends up approving them
That's messed up man. Sorry.
I don't know anything about Chantix, but when I took Ambien I would wake up having eaten an entire loaf of french bread, with the heel in my hand under the pillow and crumbs everywhere, remembering nothing about it. I once ate an entire quart of stir fry vegetables that I had packed for lunch the next day. I went to put the tub of vegetables in my lunch bag and it was empty and when I opened it there was half of a baby roasted new potato and one pea pod. After that I hid the bleach. I was afraid I would drink it in my sleep.
...it's still an "off label" use for the drug....makes a smoke taste like crap basically, so you'll want to quit from just the dead alligator flavor in your mouth...I think Wellbutrin (buproprion) was also used to help people quit smoking - a friend at college was on it and boy - was she crabby! (and moody) - she would snap at people.
(Not sure if it worked for her but it made her hard to go to school with). This was in 2004 so maybe not used for that purpose today.

How do you hide something (bleach) from yourself?
...(((VB)))...
I had been keeping it in a kitchen cleaning supplies cabinet, but I figured if I am sleep-walking into the kitchen and rummaging around in there with my eyes closed just randomly consuming things, like entire loaves of bread, and whole quarts of stir fry, I could confuse the bleach with a gallon of milk, so I put the bleach in the back of a clothes closet on the other side of my apartment.
My best friend had just committed suicide and sleeping was very difficult. I needed medication to fall asleep and Ambien was prescribed aplenty.
