Yes. Without taking the other thread to far off topic. I try to not do that....to often.

The maps honestly, are funny. But Americans donating money to save our political buildings because they are made of ice and global warming is melting them....congratulating us on finally getting telephones....and when the names of our prime minister get twisted around and he is referred to as King....

There's a good one with George Bush....and he had been to Canada and met our Prime Minister and still congratulated our King.

And don't get me started on businesses.

And again...I do not feel this is true of ALL Americans. But it is true of a lot of them.
Must you?

Notice anything funky? Americans can't even get the map right of their own country...and some Michiganders are clueless, too. Lawmaker: Michigan map isn't complete without U.P. - TwinCities.com
Who made this map?

Who made this map?

I think information at the page where I found the map said it was generated with...something...I forget...Google-Something? I came away with the sense it was generated digitally. Was looking for any number of maps that have been made that either, one completely erase the U.P. of Michigan, or two include it as a part of either Canada or Wisconsin.

You're showing this to me because I posted that I don't think that most Americans don't care about world events? I certainly don't know which Provinces are which, but I'm not ignorant of world events and I do care very much about people in other countries. If I were Canadian I'd know, not because I'd automatically know or because I care more about the world than someone else, but because since childhood I've always had a love of maps. I once drew a map of the world in the street in front of my house with chalk (I forgot the British Isles, though, but it was getting late and it was suppertime). I know all of the United States and their locations, including all the New England ones, which are exceptionally tricky.

But I don't think most people in most countries could name and locate the Canadian Provinces. Thanx for showing me this, though.
blunthead these were people who work at buzzfeed. So, not specifically chosen for their lack of education. And we are neighbours and allies....and as a group, American's know little to nothing about us.

I can show you more. Rick Mercer does some fabulous interviews which are on YouTube. (He's a political satirist who makes fun of Canadians too, but what he gets American's to do because they know nothing about their own neighbours....it's great.)

Here's What Happens When Americans Try To Label The Country Of Canada

I took a look at 'What Happens When Americans try....'. It was great! Thanks!!!
