Okay folks, lemme know how you feel about this subject. I imagine there are a few collectors on here. Some of you I may not want to know exactly what it is you collect (OoO comes to mind ;;D)but I'm referring to things other than SK items.
I am a big horror fan and I like to buy the action figures and toys and get my posters autographed at conventions. I have a room just for this stuff and it is getting packed full. If you walked into this room and didn't know who owned it you would think a college age male put it together and not a soon to be 42 year old woman. There is also a beer fridge. Sometimes I feel guilty when I buy something because I think to myself "really? you're 42 years old! Do you need another horror figure?" Well, yes. I love the stuff and have some extra money for it but I look at that room and think "this is getting ridiculous" No hoarding issues, it's all neat and organized.
Anyone else collect and feel this way? Any guilt or should I just continue to throw caution to the wind and keep on collecting?

I guess it comes down to a few things. 1) Is it legal? 2) Does it hurt anyone? 3) Can you afford it? (Bearing in mind pieces of a good collection can be sold in times of need.) 4) Do you enjoy it?
If you can answer Yes, No, Yes and Yes...there's no such thing as too old.
Besides, the world is full of people who either aspire to be drones or who want everyone to aspire to be drones. Your collection is part of what makes you unique. That's a good thing, even if there are people in the world who'd tell you it's not.
If the world zigs, zag. If the world zags...still zag, but only occasionally. Catch the buggers out. ;)

Thanks for the responses folks! I was interested to hear from other collectors too and what you collect. I can say that I have the extra money so I won't need to ask for a couch to sleep on and right now it's neat and organized. Right now. lol. Some of the stuff I buy are limited type of things and I've seen the value increase rather than decrease over time so I tell myself that some things are an investment. Whether or not they stay that way over the years I don't know. Some of it will end up in the land fill with Skimoms stuff ;-D

Forgot to mention books as well. They multiply in the dark like the CD's and Vinyl!

Oh yeah, Record Store Day is coming up. I see even more vinyl in my future........
This a new one for me that I'm getting into. I've started with the vinyl now. Mostly horror soundtracks that WaxWork Records, Death Waltz, One Way Static, and Mondo have put out. I only have 12 and they're all framed and displayed with more to come....I love the variants they come up with for these releases!
