This is why I hate my species. Where are the Boondock Saints when you need them?
As loathsome as the rapists, what about the hundreds of people that stood and watched, and did nothing to stop it? By sheer numbers alone, they could have done something.
This is too heartbreaking - I can't click the link, but the desperation that girl must have felt and the fact the no one helped makes me nauseous. Is this generation so desensitized? What's happening to the world?
It made me think of the movie - The Accused w/Jodie Foster. They prosecuted the by-standers.
That movie was based on a true story from a case in Massachusetts.

According to the article, she was passed out drunk, or she thinks she might have been slipped a mickey. So at least she didn't suffer the humiliation or agony while she was awake. She just gets to live with seeing clips of it from people's cell phones.
I'd LOVE it if they could prosecute the bystanders. The people that were prosecuted in "The Accused" were charged with inciting a crime by encouraging it, clapping and chanting for those men to rape her. I wonder if it's a crime to stand by and do nothing. If it's not, it should be.

Some did. Article says police have received video from people's cell phones. If even ONE saw, they could have started yelling and kicked up a fuss.

So, yeah. People knew. Including just as many girls as there were guys, and they stood there and let that girl get gang raped. Some of them might even call themselves Christians. I hope they feel that guilt every day for the rest of their lives.

Okay, this is a situation I would've stepped in. And for sure the cops would have been called immediately. And I would've been taking really good face shots of the rapists.

...seriously?....if you were anywhere in the vicinity of this brutality-you can bet you'd know what was happening....last I checked, the act of inserting a penis into a vagina is pretty much understood round the world...these people are lower than whale sh*t, and frankly-if they have the rapists on video-then cut their scrotes off and let them bleed to death-they deserve nothing better...I hope the young lady is able to stand above the humiliation and assault, and with help-move on with her life...

The young folks have become so used to watching stuff like this online, they think everything is a video on Youtube.
Everyone there who watched it or taped it and did nothing should all be prosecuted for aiding and abetting the rapists (who should have their 'junk' torn off)! I just don't get this generation at all....
