Something just jumped up and bit me in the buttocks...........
This was one of my favourite movies back in the 90s - loved seeing it on the big screen - it gave me chills when he was in the helicopter flying over Vietnam and they were playing CCR :applause:

came across a cure for those late-night leg cramps. those charley horses that strike when you're dead asleep and your can't get out of bed fast enough to stretch your leg out? yeah. those. reading the last travis mcgee story, the lonely silver rain, john d macdonald and there's this:
"a cramp began to knot my right calf and so with thumb and forefinger i pinched my nose shut with considerable force and held the pressure until the cramp faded away. a chinese solution. acupressure, just as steady pressure at the right point on the inside of the wrist, three finger widths from the heel of the hand, will inhibit nausea."
what's the worst thing could happen? who's gonna see ya, is what i'm saying. hopping around on the far side of the bed, pinching hail outta your nose, the wive rolls over, catches you in the act...not tonight, honey, i'm sleepy...really tired. not that i want a leg cramp to happen anytime soon, but they do happen on occasion. if it works i'll let you know. if it doesn't i'll never tell.

I've had a couple of those charley horses lately, sometimes while on the couch in the living room - hurts really bad, too.

I am willing to give this a go - the pain is so bad and my calf muscle contracts up, as hard as a golf ball.

I thought you were supposed to flex your foot, but it is so severe some times, I can't move the leg at all; (I'll let you know, too) - if it works, that is :miserable:

I've got a prescription for Flexeril, 10 mg tablets, but I have to anticipate the need...hot humid days, lot of up and down work on the ladder, or some grunion decides to tweak my leg. Some I've had are painful and it's all I can do to limp around trying to stretch it out...'bout the best I can do is try to walk it off if I can walk. This butcher I know, same thing...he drinks a lot of water, ice water before bed. Bananas, Gatorade, me...water...haven't had a real painful one this year, yet.
