I took my daughter and her friend to the annual “Powder Puff Football Game” Sunday night. It’s a tradition that has been going on for a very long time between my daughter’s high school and the rival high school team in the next town.
Senior girls play a game of (flag) football, and senior boys become cheerleaders. The girls create a special jersey to wear during the game, and the boys wear girl’s cheerleader outfits. Played under the lights, 4 high school refs, announcers, coaches, video taping, concession stands, and a large crowd. The girls take the game much more seriously than the boys. The girls apparently love the chance to hit each as hard has they can on the line, and the boys do drag queen.
You have any odd traditions or customs where you are?
