They are a massive problem over here. I saw a bit on the news about them this morning. Councils are blaming the bad weather.... WHAT BAD WEATHER????? A BIT OF RAIN????!!!!!! We were most impressed when we saw your roads in Florida. We are useless at maintaining our roads. Utterly useless.
Pennsylvania Road System Slogans:

- We don't repair roads, we destroy them!

I don't know.......looks pretty deep......
They blame the ones here on the severe cold snap we just had and now a bit of a warm up. Always an excuse it seems.

There are some roads where I'm surprised when I see a spot that isn't a pothole...

I'm glad to know that LA isn't the only place with a severe pothole problem!
That's the thing, Nate. This year we're getting them on roads I can't recall it ever being a problem.

They were showing some in Beantown on the news last night that had my kidneys wincing by just thinking about hitting them.
They a problem all year round Shasta, or do you get a pothole season like us?

Oh no. We have them all of the time. We don't have rain, just faults, so the ground is constantly shifting.
Potholes can cause major damage and do mean costly to vehicles.

Only hundreds?
Just looked it up and here in Sacramento, the city patches over 5,000 a year. Those are only the potholes in the city limits. Who knows how many there are in the whole county.
