Heres the update: the dogs are a nightmare especially the mother.they have destroyed EVERYTHING in my house top to bottom,it looks like an F4 tornado has came through. Even chewed up my first addition copy of bazzare of bad dreams.NOT HAPPY.

I recommend baby/dog gates to confine in small area, heavily layered with newspaper when you are gone. Dog classes fer sure fer sure. Looks like they ran wild before you, but you can bring them to a civilized place. Maybe youtube has some instructional videos with some commands. Speak firmly at all times. The best of luck to you; you should be commended for rescuing Mom and her son. Boxers are great dogs.
I hired a trainer once for my pup. It was all about a hidden squirt bottle and shaking a ball with chains in it. And one word. Neah. I think. spoken forcefully. TAK would work.
Nothing ever physical. Worked like a charm for the trainer. She was sitting and spinning and happy, she was like a sheep herder for him.
Me, no. She found out that I was the squirter and would take the bottle from me or just wanted squirts.
The chain thing? Run with it herself rattle it all the way. Lost it and found it much later in the couch.
