I’m familiar with paracord on tools, but not as a fashion statement. Always considered it more of a survival or emergency item, usually added as a "one use" addition to tools – usually around $5-$10 for the knife with a paracord handle or sheath, or as an attachment to a flashlight. I have a couple knives and flashlights with paracord tied around them that I keep in the the cars for emergency purposes. The better the knot the better looking it is IMO (and I always thought the more knots the longer the length), but if you need to use the paracord for something I don’t see how you would ever get it to look like its original form back on the tool. Always thought it would make a good accessory to a number of different hardware, sporting and outdoor tools. Pretty neat item as a fashion accessory though when I looked up the other uses after reading this -- very rugged looking. Good luck!
