I was 10 in 1971. If memory serves, my father was a member of some occult book club. I wanted to be an astrologer; then, a warlock…then, I wanted to be a doctor. Weird, huh?

Coming from a fundamentalist family, I ended up in seminary. It took three years for me to realize that I had no business in that business. The whole faith thing tripped me up (I apologize if such discussion is controversial here). Now, I am a happy blue collar worker shipping and receiving. But having magical powers still seems enticing ;-)

...certainly not controversial, not everyone is cut out of the same cloth when it comes to trying to be a man of the cloth....better to back out, then bear false witness....

What makes me very sad is the prospect of being nobody with nothing.
I'm not sure I understand,I hope you mean for someone starting out, they always have the chance to build up to their dream..and if you are talking personally you shouldn't,you are somebody that people like and has friends on this board,so please chin up if that is what you meant.. :)

I have a three year old nephew who, when asked what he wants to be when he grows up, will invariably say, "a man with a yellow truck". Oh, the optimism of youth.
Hey,you never know,it is good to have goals.. ;)
