I am new to this thread and late in my posting. I was 13 and in Junior High School. We got out of school at about 2PM EST and I walked to my sister's apartment. She was getting married on December 7, (Pearl Harbor Anniversary) and expecting a delivery. She asked me to wait for it. After the delivery, I walked to the corner store (back in the days when there were corner soda shops and variety shops) to call my mother and let her know that I was ready to be picked up. I heard the news on the radio while sitting in the phone booth (yes they still had those at that time, too) and my mother said she had the TV on and already knew. Strangely, when I hung up the receiver, the phone acted like a slot machine and a whole lot of change just poured out of the coin slot. (OK you might ask, did I give the money to the store owner?? Of course not. I was 13 and mostly broke all the time so all that change went into my wallet. It seemed like divine providence to me. I wonder what Sai King would make of that?)
