If I'd eaten that, I would have gained 4 pounds! That does it, I'm ordering a FitBit. ;-D
I can seriously see my body toning. Honest. Still have that food baby up front, but things are tapering in from the sides to where eventually, I will conquer it.

And that is the truth. 2 donuts and cheesecake and I still lost 4 pounds in that one week. That 10,000 steps is the key. I believe that.

Fortunately, the yoga has been helping with body shape even though the weight loss has been barely creeping down the scales. My cousin told me on Monday she noticed a big change in my midriff and my massage therapist thought I'd lost a lot of weight just because my body was more toned. Still would like to see the scales respond faster, though, so need to up my game with the exercise. With my job, there's no way I get enough walking during the day even though I try to get up frequently.

Good job staying with the yoga. I need to get into that. Just for flexibility issues. The walking is what surprised me. I was positive, especially on the days I was with my boys, that I was getting at least if not more than 10,000 steps in. No! And I'm on my feet the whole day (it feels like). The steps are the thing burning calories because I don't do any other exercises (some weights for my flabby arms). And, when I am getting those steps in, I'm tired and feel less like grazing for food because that takes energy and I just used it all up walking so find I am snacking waaaaay less.

I'm not a snacker but have to watch portion sizes because they creep up to more than I should be eating. I have a slow metabolism as it is and putting weight on happens very easily but the coming off takes forever. When I was faithful about walking a couple years ago I don't really think it did much for my weight loss but wouldn't hurt to try it now to see. I get up early enough in the morning that I could get back to my walking 3 miles before going to work instead of sitting on the couch going through personal emails to clean out all the junk. Maybe tomorrow...

Well, just so you know, 10,000 steps is 5 miles a day. (depending on length of stride and how tall you are and all that). My 5 miles a day seems to be at around 11,000 steps or a little over.
